Francesca Gozdek

Francesca Gozdek is an Italian freelance dancer, teacher and choreographer.

She started her training in Italy at Of Art Academy, where she trained in jazz, classical, modern and contemporary dance. Whilst training there, she also worked with renowned choreographers such as, Mauro Astolfi, Roberta Fontana, Valentina Buldrini, and Andre De La Roche.

She then furthered her study in contemporary and modern under Adam Parson, and Erica Sobol attending an intensive course at Edge performing arts centre, Los Angeles in 2012. During these years she had the opportunity to work with Andre de la Roche and especially with Sara Burati, in Italy. She had assisted Sara Burati for 10 years.

Her career started when she was 17 in Italy with projects focusing in contemporary dance as well as teaching modern and contemporary in various schools in Italy. Francesca has been teaching internationally for 12 years. Now residing in Sydney she completed a Certificate IV in Sport Coaching in yoga and pilates and she teaches contemporary, lyrical and yoga for dancers. She has won numerous 1st places with her choreography describing her work as mesmerising and unique. Her style is influenced by many choreographers she has worked around the world and her class includes floor work, centre and traveling phrases focusing in technique and fluidity of the movements.

She has also performed in projects in Sydney at Fringe Festival 2017/2018, Other Art Fair Festival, PACT theatre, In the cusp. She's currently a dance member of Twisted Element and they toured Wollongong, Sydney and Central Coast during 2018.

In April 2019 she completed Level 1 and 2 in 'Contact beyond Contact' in Bali. She is also the founder of "interchange dance projects", a unique contemporary youth company-program starting in Feb 2020. The program is design to give the best training in contemporary offering a European method of study, which will prepare dancers age 15-21 to the professional dance world overseas.

Francesca believes that hard work and perseverance is what makes great dancers, and what makes people reach their goals. She teaches with passion, enthusiasm, and a deep under standing of how to get the best out of people. She uses her fun loving spirit, and her great love of dance in all forms of teaching.
